THE GWYNEDD COUNCIL
(CLOSURE OF THE UNCLASSIFIED ROAD
KNOWN AS PENSARN AND PART OF THE
A4085, PENRHYNDEUDRAETH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2022
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Gwynedd
Council intend not less than seven days from the
date hereof to make an Order, the effect of which
will be to prohibit any person from causing any
vehicle to proceed in either direction along those
lengths of roads known as the Unclassified Road
known as Pensarn and part of the A4085 Road,
Penrhyndeudraeth.
The Unclassified Road known as Pensarn,
Penrhyndeudraeth – from a point near no. 1, Blaen
Ddôl, Pensarn, travelling in a north easterly direction
up to its junction with the A4085 Road.
The A4085 Road, Penrhyndeudraeth – from a
point near Bethel Chapel, Pensarn,
Penrhyndeudraeth, travelling in a southerly direction
up to a point near 2 Pensarn Terrace, Pensarn,
Penrhyndeudraeth.
The Order is necessary on health and safety
grounds to the public during excavation works to
repair a fault affecting the street lighting.
The alternative route is to follow the A4085 Road in
a south easterly direction, along the High Street, up
to its junction with the A487 Road and then turn
right. Proceed along the road in a westerly direction
up to its junction with the Class III Road opposite
Tristan, turn right, following the road up to its
junction near Bryniau Hendre and then turn right.
Proceed along the road in a north easterly direction
towards its junction with the Unclassified Road
known as Bryn Saethon, turn right, and then
continue along the road up to its junction with the
A4085 Road and vice versa for vehicles travelling in
the opposite direction.
The Order comes into effect on the 27th June, 2022
and will continue in force for a period not exceeding
one month or until the work which it is proposed to
carry out on the road is completed, whichever is the
earlier. At this stage it is anticipated that the work
will be completed within approximately 5 days.
