TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION NOTICE 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that MONMOUTHSHIRE COUNTY

COUNCIL of County Hall, The Rhadyr, Usk, NP15 1GA (“the Council”)

pursuant to the powers conferred by Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic

Regulation Act 1984 do HEREBY ORDER AND DIRECT that for the

purpose of the following regulations shall be observed:

1. The Order shall come into operation on the 17th June 2022 and will

continue to be in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the

works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever

is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will be completed on 17th

June 2022 between 09:00 – 17:00.

2. The order is necessary as the highway will be reduced to a single

lane, controlled by a temporary traffic signal to allow poling works

to take place at the location.

3. The effect of the order will be to temporarily reduce the speed limit on

a section of the B4235, Mynydd-Bach, Monmouthshire.

4. This order may be cited as the B4235, Mynydd-Bach, Monmouthshire

Speed Limit Reduction Temporary Traffic Regulation Order 2022

5. By virtue of Section 16(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 a

person who contravenes a restriction or prohibition imposed under Section 14 of the Act shall be guilty of an offence.

SCHEDULE - SPEED LIMIT REDUCTION

B4235, Mynydd-Bach, Monmouthshire

A reduction of the speed limit from 60mph to 40mph.

Speed limit reduction starting ~350m east of its junction with Itton Court

Road for ~450m.
