THE A487 TRUNK ROAD (LAY-BY AT GLANDYFI, CEREDIGION)
(RESTRICTION OF WAITING) ORDER 202-
The Welsh Ministers propose to make an Order in exercise of their powers under sections 1(1), 2(1)
and 2(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the proposed Order will be to restrict vehicles from waiting on the length of the layby
on the north-western side of the A487 trunk road that extends from a point 1,193 metres
south-west of the centre-point of its junction with the C1139 leading to Cwm Llyfnant to a point
1,257 metres south-west of the centre-point of that junction at Glandyfi, Ceredigion. Waiting will
be restricted to a maximum period of 4 hours which is to be separated by an interval of at least 8
hours from any previous period of waiting by the same vehicle on the same day on the length of
the lay-by specified.
During a period of 21 days from 16 March 2022, a copy of the proposed Order, plan and the
Statement of Reasons for making the Order may be inspected, free of charge, at Machynlleth
Library, Heol Maengwyn, Machynlleth SY20 8DY. The documents can also be viewed on the Welsh
Government’s website at https://gov.wales/road-orders or may be obtained free of charge by
writing to Orders Branch at the address below, quoting reference number qA1487974.
Objections, specifying the grounds on which they are made and quoting reference number
qA1487974, must be sent by e-mail to [email protected] or in writing to the
address below by 6 April 2022.
Should you wish to object, support or make representations, the Welsh Government may need to
consult with people and organisations outside the Welsh Government. As part of the consultation
process we may pass information to them, including information you have provided and your
personal data. We will, however, only disclose your personal details where it is necessary to do so
to address the issues raised. If you do not wish for personal data to be forwarded to third parties,
you should state this when submitting your correspondence and the Welsh Ministers will copy the
representations to the appropriate third parties with the name and address removed and if there is
to be a Public Inquiry, the representations will be seen by the Inspector who may give them less
weight as a result.
